Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Will Rodman (James Franco), currently residing in San Francisco, is working on a cure for Alzheimer's by performing tests on apes. The first test subject is Caesar. This "cure" genetically modifies his way of thinking to create a new breed of ape with human-like intelligence. Caesar learns well, but human authority continues to test him and contain him. He eventually proves smart enough to break free  from his cage and release the cure among other apes, affecting other apes like Caesar. Millions of apes begin  to rally up a revolution. Soon, war breaks out between humans and apes. Rodman may be the only one able to stop them before the ape revolution succeeds in them becoming the dominant species on the planet.

Absolution soon faces an even greater threat when alien spaceships attack the town. While his shackle holds the key to defeating the aliens, Lonergan must ally with Dolarhyde and other former enemies to make a stand against them.

While they are mugging nurse Sam (Jodie Whittaker), a fiery object falls from the sky, crashing through the roof of a nearby car. When they investigate, they discover a creature from the meteor and they kill it. Soon more aliens crash land and the gang has to defend themselves and their council estate from the alien invaders.

The film is based on three stories found in the Milne books. One story is from Winnie-the-Pooh: "In Which Eeyore Loses His Tail and Pooh Finds One." Two stories are found in The House at Pooh Corner: "In Which Rabbit Has a Busy Day" and "We Learn What Christopher Robin Does in the Mornings."
Pooh wakes up one day to find that he is out of honey. While searching for honey, Pooh discovers Eeyore who is even sadder than Pooh because he has lost his tail. Pooh, Tigger, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga, and Roo come to the rescue, and Christopher Robin decides to hold a contest to see who can find Eeyore's tail. The prize for the winner is a fresh pot of honey. The next day, Pooh goes to visit Christopher Robin and he finds a note that says "Gon Out Bizy Back Soon." Because Pooh is unable to read the note, he asks for Owl's help.

Since it's also a blue moon, a magical portal within the grotto transports them into present-day Central Park in New York.[They take shelter with married couple Patrick and Grace Winslow (Neil Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays) and try to find a way back to their village before Gargamel finds them.
